CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) - It’s been a pretty good year so far for five-time NASCAR champion Jimmie Johnson.
The Daytona 500 winner announced Tuesday he and wife Chandra are expecting their second child in September. The announcement came two days after he picked up his eighth career victory at Martinsville Speedway.
Johnson tweeted, “We are so happy to share news that we’re having another baby in September. Genevieve is so excited to be a big sister!”
Johnson’s daughter Evie will be 3 in July.
NASCAR shifts this weekend to Texas Motor Speedway, where Johnson will go in as the Sprint Cup Series points leader. He’s got two wins in the first six races.
