Police said they captured Leeland Eisenberg, the man who had held several of Hillary Rodham Clinton’s campaign workers hostage in 2007 but who had disappeared from his halfway house in New Hampshire on Sunday.
The 52-year-old with a history of mental illness and substance abuse went missing over the weekend from the Calumet Transitional Housing Unit in Manchester, The Associated Press reported. He had been sentenced in 2010 for 3½ to 7 years for probation violations following his 2007 incident that sent him to jail.
He would have been eligible for parole from the halfway house in August.
A spokesman with the State Department of Corrections said Mr. Eisenberg was arrested without incident mid-morning Monday, AP reported.
In 2007, Mr. Eisenberg entered Ms. Clinton’s campaign office in Rochester with road flares that he claimed were bombs strapped to his chest and held a handful of staffers hostage for five hours, various media reported.
