Troubles continue at Japan’s tsunami-damaged nuclear reactor, as the Fukushima facility was hit by a two-hour power delay — its second shutdown in a month.
Workers were able to restore power on Friday to the cooling system, The Associated Press reported. And Tokyo Electric Power Company officials said there is no health risk from the shutdown. But the closeness of the two outages have industry experts concerned — and the cause of this latest one is still under investigation.
In the March shutdown, a rat was to blame, AP said.
Then, a dead rat was discovered near a switchboard, and investigators believe it causes a shortage in the system that shut down cooling operations for two days.
