MIAMI (AP) - The Miami Heat are bracing to be short-handed again when visiting the Charlotte Bobcats on Friday night.
Heat coach Erik Spoelstra says he does not anticipate that LeBron James, Dwyane Wade, Mario Chalmers and Ray Allen will play against the Bobcats. James has a hamstring strain and Wade, Chalmers and Allen are dealing with ankle issues.
James, Wade and Chalmers were held out of Miami’s past two games. Allen was injured when he tripped over a courtside cameraman in Tuesday’s loss to the New York Knicks.
All four players will be evaluated again Friday before any final decisions are made on the rotation for Friday.
Miami has the NBA’s best record, 58-16. Charlotte, at 18-57, owns the league’s worst mark this season.
