Former Obama administration green czar Van Jones took to Twitter on Monday to tout his arrest for a courthouse protest against Big Coal — the arrest he asked police to make.

The Blaze said it wasn’t clear if Mr. Jones was charged with a crime. Police did oblige, however, and take him into custody. He was released a short time later and resumed his social media messaging.

One of his tweets: “This fight should unite left & right. Global corp stealing pensions earned by honest US workers? Can we join forces 2 stop this.”

Another: “Today I volunteerd 2b arrested at peaceful demonstration, supporting miners being ripped off by Big Coal.”

And one more: “I’m out of jail & ready for next round. Peabody/Patriot Coal is messing with wrong folks!!”
