The Army is investigating a reported shooting that occurred at Fort Knox earlier Wednesday afternoon, placing the entire post on lockdown.

Fox News reported that the shooting occurred in the vicinity of the Humans Resources Command, which has 3,800 employees.

There are no reports yet of casualties or injuries. The lockdown was lifted at about 7 p.m., but traffic in and out of the fort was slow because of increased security.

Fort Knox is home to more than 40,000 soldiers, family members and civilian employees.
