Authorities said a huge explosion on Monday rocked a building in Prague, collapsing portions and trapping an unknown number of victims in the rubble.
Police spokesman Tomas Hulan said investigators aren’t sure what caused the blast, The Associated Press reported. It occurred on Divadelni Street, and police have shut it to travelers, AP said.
Jirina Ernestova, a spokeswoman for the rescue team that’s on site, said some people are likely buried in the pile of debris. Earlier estimates put the injured at 13, AP reported.
The blast was strong enough to shatter windows in buildings that were located hundreds of feet away, AP reported.
