Anzor Tsarnaev, the father of the two Boston bombing suspects, is coming to the United States in the next few days, various media report.
He could arrive as early as Friday from Dagestan, CNN reported. Human rights activist Kheda Saratova said he could be bringing information to help the investigation into the April 15 terrorist attack, CNN reported.
As of Wednesday, no family member had yet claimed the body of Tamerlan, 26, who was killed in a shootout with police.
Mr. Tsarnaev has said several times that he would cooperate in the investigation — but at the same time, he’s alleged his sons were innocent and framed, due to their Muslim beliefs.
The second son, Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, 19, is in the hospital and faces murder and terrorism charges.
Zubeidat Tsarnaev, who’s Anzor’s wife and the mother to the two suspects, is not coming to the United States due to outstanding felony shoplifting and property damage charged in Massachusetts, Russian state media reported.
