The FBI has released a new photograph of a former D.C. elementary school teacher who was arrested in Nicaragua over the weekend on child pornography charges.
The FBI hopes that the photograph of Eric Justin Toth will encourage any other potential abuse victims to come forward.
The new picture being distributed Wednesday shows Mr. Toth with much longer hair than in the posters previously made public by the FBI. Because it’s the most recent pictures of him, authorities are hoping that by distributing it, more people who came in contact with Mr. Toth will recognize him.
Mr. Toth, a former teacher at the Beauvoir school, was arrested in Nicaragua on Saturday after five years on the run. The 31-year-old was ordered held without bond after brief court appearance Tuesday.
