The former chief of staff for Rep. MIchele Bachmann is set to testify that her presidential campaign paid a Kansas politico to work her, in violation of campaign ethics.
Iowa State Sen. Kent Sorenson, former chief of staff Andy Parrish and another — an aide, Peter Waldron — are scheduled to appear before an Iowa Senate ethics panel and describe the alleged inappropriate payments: Mr. Parrish and Mr. Waldron say the campaign paid Mr. Sorenson $7,500 a month, Politico reported. The payments were made through a firm that’s owned by a fundraiser for Ms. Bachmann, Politico reported.

The investigation should be wrapped by May, the chairman of the ethics panel said, in the Star Tribune.
Meanwhile, Ms. Bachmann also faces investigations from the Federal Election Commission and the Office of Congressional Ethics for the same charges.
