Rep. Steve Cohen appears to have deleted a particularly saucy tweet he sent Wednesday to pop icon Cyndi Lauper.

“@cyndilauper great night, couldn’t believe how hot u were.see you again next Tuesday.try a little tenderness,” the Tennessee Democrat posted with a photo of the performer attached.

The deleted tweet appears on the website Politwoops, a project of the Sunlight Foundation that documents deleted tweets from lawmakers, Politico reports.

Spokesman Michael Pagan told Politico he wasn’t sure what the tweet was about, but that both the public figures were at the White House’s Memphis Soul concert earlier this week. Mrs. Lauper performed “Try a Little Tenderness” onstage.

Even though Mr. Cohen has no comment on the deleted tweet, he still took to the House floor Thursday to again praise the pop star.

“While there were a lot of great performers there, I want to put a particular shout-out to Ms. Cyndi Lauper, because she’s special,” he said. “She’s a phenomenal lady…”
