A House Oversight and Government Reform subcommittee is set to investigate Fisker Automotive, the failing electric-car manufacturer that was granted $529 million by the Obama administration.
“The hearing will examine taxpayer support offered to Fisker Automotive, including the loan guarantee Fisker received from the U.S. Department of Energy,” according to the documents, Fox News reports.
The hearing will be held on April 24, and the subcommittee has asked former Executive Chairman Henrik Fisker to testify.
Fisker laid off three-quarters of its employees at its Anaheim, Calif.-based headquarters on Friday — a move reportedly to prepare the company for a bankruptcy filing as early as this week, Fox News reports.
