OPINION:
On the 11th anniversary of Sept. 11, 2001, Islamist militants stormed the U.S. diplomatic mission in Benghazi, Libya, killing Ambassador J. Christopher Stevens and three other Americans. According to several major news outlets, the facts now coming out indicate the Obama administration may have known in advance attacks were being planned against the American consulate in Libya.
Of course, the Obama administration and its media sycophants are adamantly denying these charges and are actively engaged in spinning the truth and misdirecting the public by criticizing GOP presidential candidate Mitt Romney for his response to the attacks. The president knows that if the public is allowed to scrutinize his failed policy of appeasement of and apology to Islamic extremists, his re-election chances will quickly deteriorate.
When the truth eventually comes out about the deadly attacks on our diplomatic mission in Libya and the storming of U.S. embassies across the Arab world, Americans will begin to realize the extent of the Obama administration’s foreign policy failures. They are colossal. As such, we are not only worse off economically now than we were four years ago, we are now in more danger of having the attacks of Sept. 11 repeated.
What Americans will soon learn is that appeasement and apologetic diplomacy do not work. They do not lead to peace; they lead to war.
