After the Afghan Taliban threatened to either kill or kidnap Britain’s Prince Harry, it should come as no surprise that the prince’s base in Afghanistan was attacked (“2 NATO soldiers killed in Afghan insider attack,” Web, Saturday).

With two Marines already dead, it seems as though the next logical move would be to pull the prince out of Afghanistan — even though it may appear to give the Taliban more power and a win. However, what is more important — a prince who is alive and well and no longer a target for attack, causing additional danger to surrounding troops, or allowing the Taliban to accomplish their mission of either killing or kidnapping him and possibly killing other soldiers? What happened to common sense?
