NEW YORK — Will Smith and Anthony Hargrove have left their meeting with NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell regarding the Saints bounty scandal.
NFL spokesman Greg Aiello says the players left the NFL offices around 4 p.m. (EDT), about three hours after they arrived.
Smith and Hargrove did not make themselves available to reporters.
Browns linebacker Scott Fujita postponed his scheduled meeting on Tuesday, saying he needed to stay in Cleveland and continue rehabbing an injured left knee.
The players met with Goodell after the suspensions he placed on them were lifted by an appeals panel. They and Jonathan Vilma were penalized by Goodell for their roles in the bounty scandal.
Each of the four players was on the Saints during the period from 2009 to 2011, when the NFL says coaches and players offered cash rewards for big hits.
