ANN ARBOR, MICH. (AP) - Michigan defensive end Frank Clark remains on the team after pleading guilty to taking a laptop from a dorm room.
Clark pleaded guilty to a felony, second-degree home invasion, on Tuesday. He can have the conviction removed from his record if he completes probation under a first-time offenders program.
Michigan coach Brady Hoke suspended Clark for a week of preseason practice and the opener against Alabama. Clark helped the Wolverines seal a victory over Air Force in their second game.
Hoke said Wednesday that Clark has paid a heavy price for a bad decision, but he remains a teammate and part of the family.
Clark is scheduled to be sentenced Oct. 23, the same day running back Fitzgerald Toussaint is set for sentencing after pleading guilty to drunken driving.
No. 17 Michigan hosts Massachusetts on Saturday.
