LOS ANGELES (AP) - Strong holiday weekends for the “Twilight” finale, “Skyfall” and “Lincoln” helped lift Hollywood to record Thanksgiving revenue.
Domestic cash totaled $290.8 million from Wednesday to Sunday, topping the previous high of $273 million over the Thanksgiving period in 2009, according to box-office tracker Hollywood.com.
“The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn _ Part 2” led the weekend with $43.6 million from Friday to Sunday. “Skyfall” ran second with $35.5 million, while “Lincoln” was third with $25.7 million.
The top 20 movies at U.S. and Canadian theaters Friday through Sunday, followed by distribution studio, gross, number of theater locations, average receipts per location, total gross and number of weeks in release, as compiled Monday by Hollywood.com are:
