A 10-year-old girl was shot in the leg by an errant bullet fired at the car she was riding in, D.C. police said.
Police said the girl was hit in the left thigh at about 3:40 a.m. Monday, when a white Nissan pulled alongside the car she was in and fired at least three shots at the vehicle.
The shooting occurred on the 1400 block of New York Avenue. The girl was taken to the hospital and is expected to make a full recovery.
