Why do I think these phony protest “leaders” are only on television and in the newspapers to see their names and faces in the media (“Occupy Chicago NATO protests [include] proposed ’shut down’ of Boeing,” Web, May 11)? Probably because they are. I wonder where they’ll go after the NATO meeting.

Some people can’t get adequate positive attention in life so they go for the negative instead - and the press gives them face time and publishes their names in the newspapers.

I’m not faulting the media, but if this meeting turns into protesters running rampant and destroying property, the press will be somewhat culpable for giving these “leaders” the attention they don’t deserve.

On second thought, I do know where these phonies will go after the NATO meeting: Nowhere.
