While Hezbollah, Hamas and Fatah are all seeking the demise of Israel, they should listen to the adage, “Be careful of what you wish for” (“Hamas will sit out if Israel and Iran go to war,” Web, Tuesday).

Without noting the consequences, all three terror groups would like to see Israel annihilated by an Iranian atomic bomb. But even if Iranian missile delivery is accurate and hits within the pre-1967 temporary armistice lines that defined Israel before the Six Day War, there would be 1.5 million Israeli Arabs with the same risk as their fellow countrymen, Israeli Jews. A bomb that goes a bit off target - or one intercepted - could have as victims nearly 3 million members of Hamas and Fatah, as well as Hezbollah members stationed near Israel’s borders.

Not only should these Arabs be concerned about this, but if Israel is successful in its rocket defense, Iraq, Jordan and even Iran might wind up becoming the unintended victims. Certainly, all should be concerned and support the termination of the Iranian nuclear-bomb program aimed at Israel.
