DAYTON, Ohio — Chris Johnson recorded his eighth consecutive game scoring in double figures with 19 points and Dayton beat George Washington 75-59 Saturday.

Matt Kavanaugh had 15, Kevin Dillard 12, and Paul Williams 10 for Dayton. Dillard, who also recorded seven assists, finishes the season with the fifth-most assists (178) in a single-season at Dayton.

Dayton (19-11, 9-7 Atlantic 10) opened the game on a 9-2 run and didn’t look back, pushing that lead to 38-27 at halftime. The Flyers continued their hot shooting after intermission, opening the second half on 11-2 run to go ahead 49-29 with 16:31 left to play.

The Flyers shot 50 percent (25 of 50) from the field, including 10 of 16 from deep and outrebounded George Washington (10-20, 5-11) 31-25. Both teams had 12 turnovers but Dayton scored 18 points off those errors compared to eight for George Washington.

David Pellom led George Washington with 18.
