STORRS, CONN. (AP) - The University of Connecticut’s basketball teams are preparing for the postseason.

The women (29-4) likely will get a top seed in the NCAA tournament on Monday after winning the Big East tournament last week. They will play their first game in Bridgeport, Conn.

The defending national champion men (20-13) likely earned an at-large berth in the NCAA tourney by beating Pittsburgh at home in the regular-season finale and winning two games in the Big East tournament.

They are projected to be anywhere between a No. 8 and a No. 10 seed when the brackets are announced Sunday.

One other team from Connecticut has a chance to make the NCAA tournament. Sacred Heart’s women can earn a berth Sunday with a win over Monmouth in the NEC championship game.
