LONDON (AP) — Britain’s Supreme Court has rejected WikiLeaks chief Julian Assange’s bid to reopen his case, bringing the 40-year-old’s extradition to Sweden one step closer.
In a five-point ruling published Thursday, the court said the world-famous computer expert should be extradited to Sweden to face sex-crimes allegations.
Mr. Assange is wanted for questioning in Sweden after two women accused him of sexual misconduct during a visit to the country in mid-2010.
Mr. Asange still can apply to the European Court of Human Rights, but legal experts say he stands little chance there.
