A 65-year-old woman was killed in a collision with a dump truck on the inner loop of the Beltway around 9:15 Friday morning.

Apparently swerving to miss debris, she went off the roadway and hit the barrier wall, Maryland state police said.

The woman was thrown back into traffic, where her black Mazda was struck by a dump truck.

She was traveling southbound in the Oxon Hill area, just north of Route 210, state police said.

The woman was transported to a local hospital where she was pronounced dead. The dump truck driver was unharmed.
