In naming its new CEO, Yahoo became the latest tech company to lure top executives from Google. Here’s a look at a few of them over the years:

_ Marissa Mayer. At Google, Mayer was in charge of mapping, location and local services. She will become CEO of Yahoo Inc. on Tuesday.

_ Tim Armstrong. At Google, Armstrong was senior vice president and head of the company’s North and South American advertising operations. He was named CEO of AOL Inc. in 2009, shortly before the struggling Internet company separated from Time Warner Inc. and became an independent company.

_ Sheryl Sandberg. At Google, Sandberg was chief operating officer. She was lured from Google in 2008 to take the same role at Facebook Inc.
