ST. LOUIS, Mo. — Dwayne Evans had a season-high 19 points and 11 rebounds as Saint Louis defeated George Washington 78-56 on Saturday.

Kwamain Mitchell added 15 points, Rob Loe 11 and Jordair Jett 10 for the Billikens (13-3, 1-1 Atlantic 10), who shot 50 percent from the field while connecting on 7 of 15 3-point attempts.

David Pellom had 15 points and Tony Taylor 13 for George Washington (5-10, 0-2).

The Colonials led 32-31 in the first half before Mitchell scored on a three-point play at the 4:52 mark. That started an 11-3 Billikens run that gave them a 42-35 halftime lead.

A 3-pointer by Mike McCall Jr. with 11:49 left in the game put Saint Louis ahead 54-42 and started an 8-0 run. The Billikens led by double digits the rest of the way.
