CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) - Bobcats coach Paul Silas says forward Corey Maggette will miss 2-4 weeks with a strained left hamstring.

Silas says Derrick Brown will start Friday night against the Hawks, and Tyrus Thomas also will play. Thomas has not played this season because of a sprained ankle.

Silas says Maggette’s loss hurts because “he’s one of the key factors of our team.”

Maggette, who was injured in Wednesday’s night’s victory against the Knicks, is averaging 12.2 points and 6.2 rebounds per game. Brown is averaging 4.3 points and 3.2 rebounds per game.
