CALGARY, ALBERTA (AP) - The Calgary Flames have acquired center Blair Jones from the Tampa Bay Lightning for defenseman Brendan Mikkelson.
Jones has appeared in 78 career NHL games, including 22 this season with Tampa Bay. The 25-year-old had two goals and two assists.
“Flames general manager Jay Feaster called Jones “a good-sized centerman and someone we feel will fit in well here.”
Mikkelson spent the entire season with Calgary’s American Hockey League Affiliate in Abbotsford. He had three goals and 15 points in 33 games.
He was claimed off waivers by Calgary from Anaheim in October 2010.
