The Washington Times recently ran a story that embodies yet another example of how proudly communist China eats our lunch while we squabble and squander our own (“China gets jump on U.S. for Brazil’s oil,” Page 1, Friday).

China is all in with resource-rich developing nations throughout Africa, Asia, the Middle East and Latin America, even forging ties with Europe, according to the article.

China’s furious military buildup over the past 20 years indicates it has the desire to challenge us one day. Its water-table depletion, desertification and massive dust storms indicate it may one day find it necessary. Stories like this reveal that it may one day have the resources to do so.
