EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. (AP) - The New Jersey Nets have signed forward Larry Owens and waived forward Dennis Horner.

General manager Billy King also announced Wednesday that the team had sent forward Jordan Williams to their NBA D-League affiliate, the Springfield Armor.

The 36th pick overall in the NBA Draft, Williams has appeared in six games, averaging 1.0 point and 1.5 rebounds in 6.2 minutes per game. The former Maryland product will get a chance to get significant playing time with the Armor.

Owens has been playing for the Tulsa 66ers of the D-League. He has appeared in 12 career NBA games during the 2010-11 season with San Antonio and Washington, averaging 3.3 points and 1.3 rebounds.

He was averaging 13.2 points, 5.2 rebounds this season with Tulsa.

Horner, a rookie from North Carolina State, was with Springfield before signing with the Nets before training camp. He scored four points in five games with New Jersey this season.
