WASHINGTON (AP) - President Barack Obama will be getting some high-profile fundraising help next week from director Spike Lee and musicians Al Green and India.Arie.

Obama is expected to travel to New York on Thursday for a high-dollar fundraiser at Lee’s home and a campaign event at the Apollo Theater in Harlem, with performances by Green, India.Arie and composer Lin-Manuel Miranda.

About 40 people are expected at the Lee fundraiser, with tickets costing $35,800 per person, while tickets to the Apollo event will start at $100 per person, according to a Democratic official who spoke on condition of anonymity because the events had not been announced.

Obama raised more than $220 million for his re-election campaign and the Democratic National Committee in 2011 and has held fundraisers in Chicago and Washington this month in preparation for the upcoming campaign.
