LAKE BUENA VISTA, FLA. (AP) - Tulane’s Cairo Santos has won the Lou Groza Collegiate Place Kicker Award.

Santos, originally from Brazil, was presented with the award Thursday night at the Home Depot College Football Awards show at Disney World. He beat out fellow finalists Dustin Hopkins from Florida State and Caleb Sturgis from Florida.

The junior is the second kicker from Tulane to win the honor, joining Seth Marler in 2001.

Santos converted all 21 of his field goal attempts this year, including 12 kicks of 40 yards or longer.
