SOUTH BEND, IND. (AP) - Notre Dame coach Brian Kelly says the top-ranked Fighting Irish will have an early curfew every night they are in Miami preparing to play second-ranked Alabama for the national title.
Kelly told the media Saturday he usually has a 2 a.m. curfew the first night or two on bowl trips so players can have fun. He says the curfew in Miami will be 11 p.m. every night, saying he has told the Irish (12-0) to approach the game as a business trip.
The Irish are seeking their first national championship since 1988. Kelly says the Irish had a physical practice Saturday and will have another Sunday. The Irish head to Miami on Wednesday.
The Irish play Alabama (12-1) in the BCS title game Jan. 7.
