Taxpayers should acknowledge the ridiculously high salaries of public employees. President Richard Nixon once imposed a 90-day freeze on all wages and prices in an effort to help the economy recover. With some federal, state, county, local and school bureaucrats making more money than some governors and U.S. congressmen, I truly believe it is well past time to impose a freeze on public employee salaries.

There is absolutely no rational reason why these overpaid public employees should continue to receive raises when taxpayers must foot the bill. I view such unnecessary salary increases as “taxation without representation” since just a few politicians are the ones approving them. These salaries must be frozen and then reduced.

We taxpayers need to band together to stop the constant pay inflation.
