Adrian Gonzalez posts on his Twitter account that he’s headed from the Boston Red Sox to the Los Angeles Dodgers.
The slugging first baseman is part of a blockbuster, nine-player deal being worked out between the Red Sox and Dodgers.
The Los Angeles Times reports the trade has been completed, and the official MLB page re-tweeted the post by Gonzalez.
The Dodgers would receive Gonzalez, pitcher Josh Beckett, outfielder Carl Crawford and utility infielder Nick Punto.
The rebuilding Red Sox cleared about $260 million in contracts off their roster and will receive first baseman James Loney and four prospects.
Gonzalez, who was dealt from San Diego to Boston after the 2010 season, tweeted: “Excited to get back to Cali and be a part of Dodgertown!”
