WASHINGTON (AP) - Big Time Rush says they want to do more than play music in support of Michelle Obama’s healthy living campaign _ they want to be her “fit representatives of America.”
Band member Logan Henderson says the band wants to get kids involved in being healthy and exercising because “it’s a huge part of our lifestyle.”
The group performed a few songs including their new single “Windows Down” for winners of Mrs. Obama’s healthy lunch recipe contest at the Kids’ State Dinner luncheon held at the White House on Monday.
The band, favorites of the Obama daughters, have also started recording songs for their third album and will begin filming season four of their self-titled Nickelodeon show early next year. They are making stops in 60 cities for their summer tour.
