A Franconia man wanted for 12 years on a variety of charges related to sexual acts with minors is behind bars in Virginia after being arrested in Mexico.

Wesley Thomason, 39, of the 5900 block of Bond Court was tracked by the Fairfax County Fugitive Task Force and United States Marshal Service to Mexico where he was arrested in late July and returned to Fairfax County jail, police said Friday.

He’s charged with carnal knowledge, manufacturing sexually explicit material involving a minor, possession of cocaine and indecent liberties.

Mr. Thomason was originally arrested in November 2000 on charges related to giving illegal drugs to minors and filming himself engaging in sexual acts with minors. He fled prior to his first court appearance.
