OPINION:
Nothing is more irksome than to listen to a politician lie about someone else when he is king of the liars.
It’s pretty much common knowledge that President Obama and his cohorts will stoop as low as they can to maintain a position of power. Point in fact: A PAC supporting the Obama campaign is running a disgustingly false ad about Mitt Romney. In it, a man says Bain Capitol took over a steel company in 2001 and then laid him off. He goes on to say that his wife was diagnosed with cancer, and when he was laid off, he lost his insurance and she died as a result.
The man blames Mr. Romney for the incident. However, Mr. Romney left Bain in 1999, according to Fox News, and the man’s wife died in 2006. If you took the ad on face value, you would feel sorry for the fellow, but the facts don’t support his contention that Mr. Romney or anyone else is responsible for the death of his wife.
Being a cancer survivor myself and having beaten one of the most deadly cancers in the world, Merkel cell carcinoma, I can tell you that when it’s your time to go, no job or insurance is going to stop your departure.
The sickening thing about Mr. Obama and his ilk is that they have the audacity to use the suffering of some poor man to make Mr. Obama’s opponent look like a soulless cad who couldn’t care less about his fellow man. In my opinion, it’s Mr. Obama who fits that profile, not Mr. Romney.
