Job cuts at Yahoo: 6 rounds of layoffs in 4 years

The layoffs at Yahoo Inc. announced Wednesday represent the sixth round in about four years under three different CEOs:

February 2008 _ 1,000 jobs (under Jerry Yang)

December 2008 _ 1,500 jobs (under Yang)

April 2009 _ 700 jobs (under Carol Bartz)

December 2010 _ 600 jobs (under Bartz)

April 2011 _ 100 to 150 jobs (under Bartz)

April 2012 _ 2,000 jobs (under Scott Thompson)
