SAN JUAN, Puerto Rico (AP) — A Pentagon spokesman on Monday said the upcoming arraignment for the self-proclaimed mastermind of the Sept. 11 attacks and four other Guantanamo Bay prisoners will be broadcast to six viewing sites at four military bases in the Northeast United States.
A military judge authorized the arraignment to be broadcast to eight sites at six locations, but not all of the viewing sites are ready for Saturday’s arraignment.
Pentagon spokesman Todd Breasseale said that families of Sept. 11 victims can view the proceedings at military bases in New York, New Jersey and Massachusetts. Emergency personnel who responded to the attacks can watch from a separate site at the New York base.
Members of the media and the public can watch from two sites at Fort Meade, Md.
