The FBI added a former D.C. private school teacher who has been on the run from police in the District and Maryland since 2008 to its Ten Most Wanted Fugitives list Tuesday.

Eric Justin Toth, 30, who taught third grade at Beauvoir, the National Cathedral Elementary School, is wanted for possession and production of child pornography after a fellow teacher found sexually explicit photos of a boy on a school-owned camera Mr. Toth had been using in June 2008.

Mr. Toth was charged with producing child pornography in Maryland and elsewhere in U.S. District Court in Maryland, and warrants were issued for his arrest in the District and Maryland in August 2008.

He was reportedly escorted off the property at Beauvoir after the photos were found but has not been seen since. Authorities found his car at the Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport along with a note that implied he had committed suicide in a lake near the airport. No body was found.

FBI officials think Mr. Toth has traveled to Illinois, Indiana, Wisconsin and Minnesota since he has been on the run and that he has lived in Arizona as recently as 2009.

Mr. Toth, who attended Cornell University and graduated from Purdue University, is described as a “computer expert” and may regularly use social networking websites and advertise his services as a tutor or male nanny online, the FBI said.

The FBI said he also uses the name David Bussone and considers him to be dangerous and possibly suicidal. He is described as being 6-feet-3-inches tall and weighing about 155 pounds with brown hair, green eyes and a medium complexion.

“The addition of Eric Toth to the Top Ten list illustrates how important it is to get this individual off the streets and into custody,” FBI spokesman Mike Kortan said.

FBI officials are offering a reward of up to $100,000 for information that leads to Mr. Toth’s arrest.
