PITTSBURGH (AP) - The Pittsburgh Penguins have signed veteran forward Richard Park to a one-year contract.
Park, 35, spent last season playing for Geneve Servette of the Swiss National League, where he had 15 goals and 19 assists in 47 games.
The signing returns Park to the team that selected him in the second round of the 1994 Entry Draft. He played in 62 games across two seasons with the Penguins, helping the team to the Eastern Conference Finals in 1996.
Park last played in the NHL in 2009-10, scoring nine goals to go with a career-high 22 assists for the New York Islanders.
