This question keeps going through my mind whenever I read the news: Why is it that no one questions the fact that only now - two years after the recession supposedly ended and almost three years since President Obama took office - is the president turning his attention to the job situation?

Granted, he did spend $825 billion on a stimulus that failed to create new jobs, enacted a home buyers’ tax credit that resulted in millions of fraudulent claims (with thousands coming from IRS employees) and dreamed up the “Cash for Clunkers” program.

However, over the past few years, he has twice said he was going to focus on jobs. Between his campaign efforts and numerous vacations how will he find the time? And why is he only now turning to job creation?
