I’m reading former Vice President Dick Cheney’s just-released book, “In My Time,” and I have to ask: If, as the political left claims, this man was such an integral part of an administration that knowingly lied and got us involved in an “illegal,” immoral,” “unjust” and “unnecessary” war, how and why is he still walking around free?

What really grinds my gears is that for the last 5 1/2 years of the George W. Bush/Cheney administration, Democrats howled their you-took-us-to-war-under-false-pretenses charge - the worst charge ever leveled against a sitting American president - yet no one ever dared lift a legislative finger to commence an investigation to look into the matter.

As an American citizen who demands justice, I consider Democrats’ failure to prove their “Bush lied” charge the biggest unreported story of the war. What does it say about the validity of this charge that they would let “warmongers” get off scot-free?
