UNITED NATIONS (AP) - The United Nations is going digital with a new mobile application.
The U.N. Foundation, a nonprofit organization that supports the world body’s work, released the mobile application as the annual General Assembly gathering continuing this week.
The application is free and designed to bring U.N. information and news to people worldwide. It includes information ranging from climate change to maternal health. It also explains how to support U.N. programs, including a donate button allowing users to text a $10 donation to the cause of their choice.
The application is currently just for iPhones, and available in the six U.N. languages: English, French, Spanish, Russian, Arabic and Chinese.
