CLEVELAND (AP) - A person familiar with the negotiations says the Cleveland Browns have signed tight end Evan Moore to a multiyear contract extension.
Moore’s deal is worth nearly $3 million per year, the person told the Associated Press on condition of anonymity because paperwork was not complete. Moore signed a one-year tender as a restricted free agent before training camp started.
Moore caught 16 passes for 322 yards in 12 games last season, but the Browns are expecting bigger things from the 6-foot-6, 250-pounder in their new West Coast offense. Moore signed with Cleveland in 2009 after spending one season with Green Bay.
Moore missed two games last season with a hip injury before being placed on injured reserve the final two weeks.
