LETTER TO THE EDITOR: Political credibility is earned

OPINION:

If you believed President Obama’s words before a joint session of Congress last week, then you will embrace his American Jobs Act (“Obama to Congress: Act now on jobs,” Page 1, Friday).

If, on the other hand, you believe that the past portends the future and look to his well-documented track record of giving “stimulus” money mainly to his political base, then your reaction is likely to be: “President Obama, you’re toast.” It’s all about credibility.
