A 30-year-old man was fatally stabbed Thursday night in the Barry Farms neighborhood in Southeast, a block away from the location where a man was slain Monday, police said. A woman is in custody for the stabbing.

Jodie Ward, of no fixed address, was found dead in the 1100 block of Eaton Road around 11 p.m., according to the Metropolitan Police Department.

Investigators arrested Felicia Dianne Jones, 30, of Southeast for the slaying. She is being charged with second-degree murder while armed.

It was unknown whether a shooting in the same neighborhood early Monday was related to the stabbing, an MPD spokesman said Friday.

In that homicide, Antonio Headspeth, 25, of Southeast, was shot multiple times in the 1100 block of Stevens Road in Southeast. No one has been charged with the slaying.
