SAN FRANCISCO (AP) - Some of Silicon Valley’s top tech leaders are expected to attend a private memorial service for Steve Jobs being held sometime Sunday evening at Stanford University.
The Wall Street Journal has reported that invitations have gone out, but Apple and Stanford officials are not releasing any information about the event.
Calls The Associated Press made to Stanford on Saturday and Sunday seeking details were not returned.
Apple has said the services are invitation only.
The event comes after California Gov. Jerry Brown issued a proclamation declaring Sunday as Steve Jobs Day in California.
Jobs, who co-founded Apple Inc. and was the mastermind behind popular gadgets such as the iPhone and iPad, died Oct. 5 at age 56 after struggling for years with pancreatic cancer.
