LAWRENCE, KAN. (AP) - Kansas will be without two talented freshmen this season.

Coach Bill Self said Friday that Ben McLemore and Jamari Traylor have been declared partial qualifiers by the NCAA and will not be eligible to play this season. They cannot practice until after the fall semester.

McLemore, a 6-foot-5 guard, finished his prep career at Christian Life Center in Texas after his suburban St. Louis high school closed following the 2009-10 season. Traylor attended Julian High School in Chicago before going to the IMG Academy in Florida.

The NCAA has also ruled that Kansas freshman Braeden Anderson was a partial qualifier.

Kansas won the Big 12 title last season but lost Markieff and Marcus Morris, Josh Selby and several other contributors.
